Stacy Justice

Stacy Justice

Co-Founder, CEO, President

Stacy is a Norfolk, Virginia native and started the corporation with her husband soon after graduation from Old Dominion University in 1985. She runs the business side of Bluewater Restoration while keeping up with her certification skills and a double Master Restorer for Water (WRT) and Fire (FRST) and certified in mold restoration. Furthermore, Stacy holds the commercial license for General Contractor – Builder Class for Bluewater Restoration for North Carolina and Virginia.

Stacy’s role focuses on HR, accounting, marketing, and training. She is not averse to any “dirty” job required to get the work done, but she mainly handles the business administration.  Education is one of her passions. She goes to great lengths to educate, develop, and encourage her workforce so that they are highly qualified, certified, and dedicated to serving our region with pride.

Tara Bernheisel

Tara’s unique experience level of compassionate service and logistical specialty demonstrates her deep commitment to helping those facing catastrophic situations. Her character shines through all her “missions” with customers in need as she both deeply cares about their distress and how to best approach the solution.  Tara joined Bluewater Restoration in 2013 and is a well-respected team leader with a diverse background who is highly certified in the restoration industry.

Raised in central Pennsylvania, Tara enlisted in the PA Army Reserves at the age of 17 as a carpentry masonry specialist, where she learned the fundamentals of construction and remodeling. She soon committed to active-duty Army and was stationed in the Southern Command support battalion, where she engaged in humanitarian missions, including working with three major refugee camps. Tara joined the NC national guard. Before transitioning to the global restoration and indoor environmental industry, she served as a logistics specialist, traveling for 4 years domestically and internationally to help people and businesses cope with emergency disasters.

Estimator Project Manager

Laurie gained years of experience in construction via the cabinet industry before joining the Bluewater team in 2008. Laurie’s common-sense approach, combined experiences, and eye for detail have compiled the necessary qualities needed for our Estimator position. While working remotely, Laurie handles all insurance estimates for the company. In addition, Laurie connects with all involved co-workers, customers, adjusters, and sub-contractors in her daily schedule. Laurie is passionate about our integrity, timeliness, and reputation and has always been committed to providing the highest quality service. Her outstanding professionalism helps guide people through confusing and challenging insurance claims gently. She holds 9 IICRC Certifications as a Journeyman in Textiles, Water damage, Fire, Smoke, Odor, and is also certified in Mold remediation.

Marshall White

Project Manager

After graduating college, Marshall’s professional career spanned the environmental, property management, and construction fields. His natural craftmanship and human relations skills served him well in the construction industry, from municipality infrastructure to commercial and residential construction. Marshall joined the Bluewater team in 2018 as a Project Manager, where he currently holds certifications in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying from the IICRC. Marshall is a secret weapon at Bluewater Restoration and is a talent for cabinetry and fine craftsmanship.

Marshall is a wonderful, kind, and thoughtful individual who is a blessing on many levels to have working on your project. Once you speak to him, you gather by his gentlemanly demeanor and southern drawl that he is a native of northeastern North Carolina. He had a wonderful early life because he grew up in the farmland and fields of our great state, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Marshall is married to Susan, and they have two beautiful children.

Samantha Thelin

Social Media Coordinator

After graduating from Currituck County High School, Sammie joined the US Navy and became a shipboard Gas Turbine System Mechanic for five years. Upon successfully completing her military duty, Sammie worked for property management companies and is now handling our social media.
